Farmer to Farmer serves the Grand Traverse Region and features agricultural land for sale or lease, as well as job openings in our local food system. It is a free, user-driven resource. Farmland owners, seekers and employers create profiles detailing their land, themselves and what they are looking for, or the available job opportunity. These profiles comprise a searchable database.

Farmer’s Guide to Organic Contracts

From the good folks at The Farmer’s Legal Action Council The Farmers’ Guide to Organic Contracts can assist farmers with all types of agricultural contracts, but the guide’s primary purpose is to serve farm operations certified as organic under U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program (NOP) regulations. Specific suggestions and information for certified organic operations are highlighted throughout the guide, which features a color-coded symbol system designed to enhance reader understanding. It’s a pay-for-download product, so beware.

Michigan State University’s Product Center is the go-to group to help you with questions on business development, marketing, and product design.
